Letter: Community Chest seeks Annual Fund donations

April 27, 2023

I am excited to share that The Concord-Carlisle Community Chest is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. With a rich history of supporting our communities in a myriad ways over the years, I am especially proud of the support that we as a community have been able to provide literally in the past 75 days.

In March, we began working with Making Opportunities Count (MOC), the agency managing the emergency shelter housing families at the Best Western on Elm Street in Concord. Many residents have stepped up to support these families and we can’t thank you enough. Additionally, through our dedicated allocations and grant making process, our communities continue to provide significant financial support to more than 30 nonprofits, town agencies, individuals, and local projects. Our impact helps our community thrive and grow stronger for the benefit of all. If you are interested in learning more or donating to our Annual Fund that concludes April 30, please visit our new website – www.cccommunitychest.org

Over the past two plus years, we have responded to a growing need for assistance with services related to mental health, food insecurity, elder support and affordable housing, among other essential needs. The Community Chest proactively provides the human services that our community members – residents and businesses alike – seek. Our mission has remained consistent since our founding – to engage our community to help neighbors in need. We continue to be the only organization responding to the wide spectrum of critical issues in Concord and Carlisle. We are your partner in preserving and providing essential services now and for the next 75 years.

Thank you for the ongoing commitment and support. Your impact is real and realized daily.
