Letter: The Rotary Club thanks you

April 27, 2023

The Rotary Club of Concord would like to thank the community for their support of our recent initiative to collect donations of personal care items for Open Table Food Pantry in Maynard. Your very generous donations will help Open Table defray the cost of providing personal care items which are not covered by food stamps. The Concord Club partnered with the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough as part of a Rotary District matching grant.

On May 20 the Rotary Club of Concord will participate in a Rotary Day of Service collecting personal care items for Open Table. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rotarians will have two collection sites for diapers in sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6, baby wipes, laundry detergent, dish soap, toothpaste and shampoo. Items can be dropped off at A New Leaf’s parking lot, 74 Commonwealth Ave., West Concord and at Crosby’s Marketplace.

This donation drive is part of the multi-District Rotary Day of Service. More than 500 Rotary clubs, over 14,000 Rotarians and thousands of community volunteers spanning five states and three countries will give back to their communities on Saturday, May 20.
