Concord Middle School students showcased their ideas last week as part of a showcase of student civic action projects.
The 70 eighth graders were on hand May 24 at the school to discuss their projects with members of the community. Students researched and developed action plans on a variety of topics and created displays. The subjects ranged from food insecurity and homelessness to advocating for the METCO program and speaking out against censorship.
The event was sponsored by the social studies teachers of Concord Middle School and supported by the League of Women Voters.
