Derek Mauk, a loving father, loyal friend, and accomplished professional, passed away at the age of 36. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Derek’s bright mind propelled him through a gifted program during his childhood before he headed off to Purdue Honors College, where he served as a student leader and graduated with a degree in Finance in 2009, followed by an MBA in 2010. Derek excelled throughout his professional journey, which started in finance and then in marketing and innovation at a host of iconic companies such as General Electric, Proctor and
Gamble, and Anheuser Busch. He was a dynamic leader and most recently was proud to serve as President of Mass Bay Brewing Company.
Derek found joy in gardening, woodworking, and giving back to his community through volunteering. He served on various advisory boards at Purdue post-graduation and mentored business students and other professionals throughout his career.
Derek was a devoted father and leaves behind his wife of eleven years, Anne-Catherine. Together, they had four children, two of whom, Everett Parker Mauk and Spencer Rain Mauk, survive him. Derek is
also survived by his brother Jordan Ray Mauk, and parents Patrice and Brett Mauk.
