Concord standup comedian Andrew Della Volpe will be headlining at Nick’s Comedy Stop August 18 and 19 after years of honing his comedy chops.
“Headlining Nick’s Comedy Stop is a huge milestone for Boston comedians as it is the place where legends like Lenny Clarke, Bill Burr, Joe Rogan, Dane Cook, Dennis Leary and so many more got their start,” he said. “This will be my first time headlining a full weekend. Last summer I did a single night for the first time, and this year I am excited to show friends, family, and fans the act that I have been building for the last six years.”
While attending Colby College, Volpe got his start working as an intern at Sacha Baron Cohen’s Four by Two Films and likes to say that he “has never considered a straight job since.”
During the pandemic, he performed small and socially distant driveway comedy shows. Performing in backyards all over New England, Andrew was able to play more than 50 shows and was featured on CBS Boston and Mix 104.1’s Karson and Kennedy radio show. In addition to being a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and working clubs, theaters, and dive bars across New England for the past five years, Volpe has headlined regularly at The Comedy Attic, Ruby Room, and The Rex Theatre.
He co-hosts the popular podcast “Soft Boys” alongside fellow comedian Will Noonan.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. shows at Nick’s Comedy Stop, located in the Boston Theatre District, are $22 and can be purchased in advance at https://ci.ovationtix.com/35645/production/1161404.
