3:30 a.m. The operator of a vehicle pulled aside at Main and Highland Streets was throwing away trash.
8:43 a.m. An erratic motor vehicle operator at Laws Brook Road and Commonwealth Avenue was not located.
9:01 a.m. A caller from Spring Road asked to speak with animal control about multiple bats in his house.
9:58 a.m. Minor motor vehicle crash near Lowell Road and Monument Square. No injuries.
10:38 a.m. A gray backpack was found on the ground in front of the Barretts Mill Farm sign.
12:22 p.m. Police assisted a motorist who had locked her keys in her car on Commonwealth Avenue in front of Concord Teacakes.
1:46 p.m. Two dogs without an owner were running around the field at Hutchins Farm on Monument Street.
1:52 p.m. An indoor gray tabby cat with black stripes and no collar or tags went missing August 11 on Old Mill Road.
5:34 p.m. Police assisted in finding a motor vehicle in Monument Square.
5:42 p.m. Police were unable to locate a person that reported a past hit and run at the West Village Tavern on Commonwealth Avenue.
7:24 p.m. A Concord Oil vehicle was broken into at the Concord Farmers’ Market on Lowell Road.
Friday, August 11
4:51 a.m. Police replaced a water gate access cover that a driver reported running over on Old Road to Nine Acres Corner near Route 2.
8:32 a.m. A caller asked to speak with animal control about a possible lost dog she just saw near Pop and Spencer Brook roads.
9:17 a.m. Library staff turned in lost items that had not been claimed: a wallet, a coin purse and a set of keys. The owner of the keys picked them up.
10:22 a.m. Animal control was notified of a possible lost dog running around near Old Marlboro and Hunters Ridge roads.
10:23 a.m. A caller from Whittemore Street reported fraudulent activity related to his business.
12:16 p.m. A resident of Main Street asked to speak with animal control about a snake in her shed.
1:29 p.m. The Highway Department responded to Old Marlboro Road and Cottage Street for a downed tree branch in the road.
2:16 p.m. A staff member from the Town House turned in a wallet he found while leaving work. The Sudbury owner was notified and picked it up.
5:49 p.m. A caller from Walden Street reported hearing what sounded like someone hitting a dog and a dog squealing at the rear of the Walden Street School. Police were unable to locate any animals in distress.
6:02 p.m. People were attempting to fix a disabled motor vehicle in Monument Square and will notify the station if they need further assistance.
6:53 p.m. An orange cat with no collar was wandering around in a backyard on Sudbury Road. The caller had not seen the cat before. Animal control notified.
7:54 p.m. The owner of a wallet found inside a bathroom on Pond Lane was advised that his wallet is in safekeeping and he can pick it up Monday.
9:22 p.m. A person on Walden Street allowed Officer Olansky to utilize his telescope to view the stars.
11:02 p.m. People in a vehicle parked in the parking lot on Walden Street were looking to go on a hike. They were advised the conservation area was closed.
Saturday, August 12
2:31 a.m. A vehicle in a Main Street lot belonged to a cleaner.
6:48 a.m. Concord Municipal Light Plant restored power after a loud bang was heard on Shore Drive.
1:15 p.m. A bicyclist reported spraying something in the roadway by the pedestrian crosswalk in front of Sally Ann’s Bakery on Main Street. Police located an arrow and are unsure what it relates to.
1:58 p.m. A caller from Hayward Mill Circle reported finding something on her floor she had never seen before. Police assisted with opening a window, re-attaching a window shade and discarding the item on the floor.
2:16 p.m. Two windows were found broken after a resident of Damon Street reported hearing a loud noise that sounded like glass smashing and seeing a group running from the area.
2:52 p.m. Animal control was notified about a large Maine Coon cat in the bushes on Grant Street that only leaves when approached.
3:25 p.m. Credit and debit cards were taken from a vehicle that was left unlocked at Woods Hill Table and in the driveway the previous night.
4:20 p.m. Police were unable to locate a dog that was reported to be barking for 30 minutes on Barretts Mill Road.
5 p.m. The driver of a black Volvo blocked in a white Ford SUV that reportedly ran the stop sign at a high rate of speed and almost hit the Volvo. Police advised the parties of the complaint and the speed limit.
9:41 p.m. The registered owner took possession of the vehicle after the operator was summonsed for operating after suspension, speed and red-light violation following a stop at Route 2 east and Exit 125.
9:42 p.m. A vehicle was towed and the operator summonsed for unlicensed operation, operating after revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and failure to signal following a stop at Route 2 east and ORNAC.
Sunday, August 13
12:45 a.m. The operator and passenger in a vehicle pulled off at Concord Turnpike and Cambridge Turnpike were switching seats.
12:49 p.m. Someone from a vehicle on Concord Turnpike was looking for a bathroom.
1:37 p.m. A vehicle was towed and the operator summonsed for operation after revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and inspection following a stop on Route 2 West after the rotary.
2:01 a.m. A resident called twice to report loud vehicles, possibly a number of them, driving on Old Bedford Road toward Concord Center. Gone on arrival.
4:55 p.m. Police checked from Hawthorne Village to the town line, side streets, the Thoreau Club and the parking lot after a resident reported a suspicious vehicle. It appeared no vehicles were broken into. The driver of the suspicious vehicle did not exit his vehicle, the resident said.
1:35 p.m. A caller reported a lost key and checked downtown businesses she had been in without finding it.
2:17 p.m. A caller from Dover Street reported speeding vehicles, one of which parked in the conservation lot at the end of the road. He believes people are swimming in the cove. No violations observed.
2:18 p.m. A gray Mercedes station wagon with multiple occupants in the rear cargo area was seen exiting Route 2 onto Elm Street near the Best Western. The vehicle could not be located. Dartmouth Police Department last contacted the party in 2014 and Concord police were unsuccessful making contact with the provided number.
2:54 p.m. State Police advised that a motor vehicle that exited Route 2 and headed west on Main Street was reported to be driving aggressively, weaving in and out of traffic and the operator was swearing and honking the horn. Could not be located.
5:11 p.m. A disabled U-Haul truck at the Walden Street entrance to Concord-Carlisle High School was almost completely off the road and a U-Haul rep was 30 minutes away.
6:34 p.m. Police and fire responded to a smoking vehicle in the right traffic lane at Route 2 West and Main Street. No fire issues. State police on scene.
Monday, August 14
1:17 a.m. A vehicle was towed and the operator summonsed for operation after suspension and inspection violation following a stop on Elm Street.
4:38 a.m. The resident of Hawthorne Village who reported a suspicious vehicle the day before reported a second suspicious vehicle. The description of the operator matched the registered owner.
7:32 a.m. A vehicle was towed and the operator summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a stop on Farmers Cliff Road.
10:05 a.m. A caller from Brown Street reported capturing a bat with a vacuum cleaner and wanted information on what to do. Animal control notified.
10:33 a.m. A caller from Sudbury Road asked to speak with animal control regarding a deceased rat.
1:47 p.m. A wallet found at Concord Gas on August 13 was turned in. The Acton resident picked it up on August 15.
6:34 p.m. A passerby gave a found medical card to a cruiser. The card owner was contacted and will pick it up at the station.
8:21 p.m. Bail was set at $40, personal recognizance, after a motor vehicle stop near Commerford Road and Elm Street. The vehicle was towed.
8:36 p.m. A resident of South Meadow Ridge reported a fallen light post and moved it out of the middle of the road. Police coned off the area and secured it with fire tape. Property management notified an electrician who will respond for repair.
11:25 p.m. A vehicle running in front of the Walden Street School for Girls was an Uber picking up a staff member.
Tuesday, August 15
7:06 a.m. Police were notified of a motor vehicle crash via Apple crash alert at Route 2 and Sandy Pond Road. Two vehicles were involved and two lanes were closed. State police to handle.
9:17 a.m. A large landscape truck and trailer blocking a lane of travel making it difficult to see traffic coming around the corner at Monument Street and Balls Hill Road was not located.
10:38 a.m. Concord Public Works to handle a low-hanging branch on Old Bedford Road.
11:31 a.m. A motor vehicle plate on a BMW came back as belonging to a Cadilac during a motor vehicle stop on Fitchburg Turnpike. The vehicle was newly purchased and the party had all the proper paperwork.
2:34 p.m. A driver called to say she ran out of gas at Lexington Road and Monument Square. The vehicle was pushed off the road and allowed to remain in a no parking zone near the cemetery while the operator walked to the gas station to fill up a gas can.
4:45 p.m. A caller reported losing her black wallet while walking at Crosby’s MarketPlace.
5:18 p.m. A resident of Walden Street reported a lost peach-colored Specialized bicycle last used on August 2.
6:19 p.m. The owner of an iPhone found in the middle of the roadway at Old Marlboro and Old Pickar Roads picked it up at the station.
7:41 p.m. A resident of Main Street reported her neighbor disposed of her dirty trash water onto her driveway. The action was witnessed by another neighbor. The homeowner hosed down the debris.
8:31 p.m. A resident on Hubbard Street reported her brown puggle ran out the back door and could not be found. She called back to say the dog returned.
8:48 p.m. A resident of Hayward Mill Circle requested assistance because a vehicle circling the area was shining lights into her residence. Cleared.
9:46 p.m. An alarm sounding on Philip Farm Road had stopped before the police arrived. The construction site was checked with nothing found.
Wednesday, August 16
10:38 p.m. Police were not able to assist with a motor vehicle lockout on Virginia Road at the Tremont School. The driver will follow up with the dealership.
11:27 p.m. The owner of Verrill Farm reported items were stolen from her store on Sunday night.
3:04 p.m. Animal control was notified about a stray cat found in a basement on Riverdale Road.
3:08 p.m. A resident from Caterina Heights reported hearing an alarm from a house on the cul-de-sac. Nothing found.
3:30 p.m. A driver in a minor motor vehicle crash at Sudbury Road and Fitchburg Turnpike received a citation for following too closely.
4:36 p.m. Damage to a motor vehicle on Thoreau Street appeared to be caused by a projectile launched from a lawnmower. The resident will contact building and grounds.
6:52 p.m. Lowell Road at Liberty Street and Barretts Mill Road was closed after a water main break.
