If it barks, meows, baas or even slithers, it’s welcome at the Blessing of the Animals.
TriCon Church will host the annual Blessing of the Animals, at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 17, on the lawn at 54 Walden St.
The event is open to all — with or without an accompanying animal. Bring your furry friends, your feathered flock, your fleecy, your scaly, and your stuffed (animals)!
“Last year (the first year that we transitioned to a town-wide event) we had over 100 attendees! ” said Sandy Freund, who is chairing the annual event.
This is a town-wide event. There will be a short outdoor service, music, and games and face tattoos for young and old alike. Animal crackers for snacking for the humans, and homemade doggie biscuits for four-legged friends.
