Construction on the new middle school continues this month with installation of the building’s steel frame and concrete foundations.
“We are excited to see steel rising and the building taking shape,” Middle School Building Committee Chairs Dawn Guarriello and Pat Nelson said in a statement.
“While we have much more to do, we feel it’s important to celebrate these milestones and to thank all of those who have been involved in supporting the project, including members of the Building Committee, town and school leaders, our professional team, and, of course, the residents,” they said. “This truly has been a team effort, and we look forward to the day when we open the state-of-the-art educational facility for the students and families of Concord.”
The Concord Middle School Building Committee continues to meet during construction to provide oversight of the budget and schedule as well as the project’s professional teams, including the owner’s project management firm, Hill International; architectural firm SMMA; and general contractor CTA Construction Managers.
School officials say the project remains within budget.
The Committee’s next meeting is scheduled for October 19 at 7:30 a.m. via Zoom. Meeting dates, agendas, minutes and Zoom links are available at www.cmsbuildingproject.org.
