The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle has worked to support talented young people since 1969, with 60 students receiving support as they embark on exciting new chapters in their lives.
One of those students is Jonathan Charles, who received The Winstanley Scholarship Fund and the Rotary Club of Concord Thomas R. Huckins Memorial Scholarship.
Having graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, where he played football and wrestled, Jonathan spent this past summer preparing for his freshman year at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Jonathan planned to wrestle there, majoring in entrepreneurship and minoring in philosophy.
Two months into the fall semester, Jonathan believes going to Johnson & Wales was the best decision he ever made. He loves his business ethics class, spends lots of time in the Writing Center, and is excited for the start of his first collegiate wrestling season.
