The annual tree lighting and parade, planned for Sunday, Dec. 3, has been canceled — but some indoor events will continue, including an appearance by Santa Claus.
The forecast calls for rain, a weather event that is generally not considered as festive as snow. It is unknown if the tree lighting will be rescheduled, or if the lights will quietly turn on without fanfare.
Santa Claus will be at the Hunt Building to take photos, 4-6 p.m. The giant snow globe, fun activities, give-aways and some character appearances are planned.
