Daniel Bruce Monsen, 81, a longtime Concord resident, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Ayer Valley Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.
Born on May 20, 1942, he was the son of the late Arthur and Tyyne (Antilla) Monsen. He was a graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School.
For many years, he owned and operated the Mobil Gas Station in Littleton with his brother Arthur. Later in his professional life, he ran his own painting business. When he retired he enjoyed traveling with Marilyn, his partner of 15 years.
He was the father of Sally Wallace and her husband Donald of Gloucester and Daniel Monsen and his wife Kathy of Ayer. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Luke Wallace, John Monsen and Anna Monsen, his brother, Arthur Monsen of Maine, along with nieces and nephews, Suzanne, Paul, Rachel, Sarah, Scott, Artie, Phillip and Jennifer. He was predeceased by his beloved partner, Marilyn Blunt, and his younger brother, David Monsen.

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Sunday, January 21st from 12 to 1 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
