I am writing to announce my candidacy for the position of Select Board in 2024. I was born and raised in Concord and returned in 1997 with my husband, Mark. We have raised two boys who attended Alcott, Sanborn, Peabody, CCHS and participated in many town- and school-sponsored activities.
I have been an active volunteer since 2004 starting as a Concord Children’s Center board member (and treasurer). I served two terms on both the Finance Committee (Chair 2014) and Concord Municipal Light Board (Chair 2019, 2021). I am currently serving as clerk on the Solar Implementation Task Force charged with developing a plan to meet the town’s Climate Action Plan goal for solar generation on municipal and in-town properties.
I have spent my entire professional career in healthcare, serving in different leadership roles varying from healthcare finance, analytics, operations and IT architecture. Over this time, I have managed numerous projects including vendor implementations, business process re-engineering, database development and company consolidations. I have earned a reputation as a strong leader, known for my analytic skills and ability to collaborate, problem solve, synthesize complex topics and communicate effectively.
Having recently retired, I want to contribute my time and energy to ensure that Concord remains attractive and affordable to a diverse population now and in the future. The town and schools have many demands on their resources and it is critical to have open and transparent discussions on those priorities and investments. Over the coming months, I look forward to listening and learning about your interests, priorities and concerns for Concord.
