I write in support of Tracey Marano and her desire to continue serving on the School Committee. I worked with Tracey for several years on the Concord Education Fund, which raises money for our public schools for teacher-initiated grants. These grants have had a lasting impact. During the four years I worked with Tracey, she was pragmatic, thoughtful and knew how to solve problems. She took all stakeholders into account, while always keeping her eyes on the prize – what benefits the students the most. She is a reliable and considerate collaborator, holding firm to her professional convictions when the situation demands it. Additionally, she has experience as a special ed teacher. Concord would be fortunate to have such a person who is so committed to students and the community to continue their service.
