I’m writing to express my support for Joe Laurin in the upcoming election for the Concord Select Board. My husband and I have known Joe, his wife Maureen and their twin sons for nearly the entire 14 years they’ve been in Concord.
Mostly, I know Joe through youth soccer as he helped coach my and his own sons for several years. Through that time, I not only got to know the whole terrific Laurin family, but I was also able to see first-hand Joe’s dedication to family and community – and especially to helping develop our kids into respectful and spirited young adults.
Since the days of soccer, our sons also played CCHS football together where Joe continued as a dedicated father and school supporter: Joe was always there, always respectfully supportive, always with a welcoming smile — happy to be contributing even in a small way to our great community.
While I don’t have as direct experience with the rest of Joe’s experience, I know he has a strong and successful business background. I consider Joe smart and thoughtful, qualities that serve him and Concord well as part of the Select Board.
We need people like Joe to help lead Concord, with not only the “nuts and bolts” of leadership, but also the deep caring for our community. Please join me in supporting Joe Laurin for the Select Board and please vote on April 9.
