As Wendy Rovelli’s neighbor for the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know her through observations and conversations. Wendy does not shy away from tough physical jobs, whether it’s snow shoveling, digging in the garden, or loading up her car and volunteering at the Swap-Off year after year.
Wendy uses her time efficiently, balancing her responsibilities to her family, the workplace, the town committees, and her garden. In all of my interactions with Wendy, she is cheerful, positive, centered, calm, generous-spirited, and a thoughtful listener.
Last summer, when my basement flooded, my first instinct was to call Wendy. She and her family appeared instantly and literally bailed me out. Wendy takes initiative. For the past 20 years, she has kept our four-street neighborhood informed and up to date with a residents’ contact information list. She has also organized all of our fall block parties, which has been a huge contribution to our neighborhood spirit. Wendy and her family keep an eye on our multi-generational neighborhood, and are well aware of everyone’s welfare.
As a Select Board member, Wendy would be a well-informed, level-headed, and respectful contributor to discussions and decisions. As a 50-year-long Concord resident, she knows and cares deeply about our town and is dedicated to its future in terms of financial stability and service to all residents.
