As a Concord resident and former School Committee member, I enthusiastically support Andrew Herchek for election to the Concord School Committee. I first met Andrew when he was in high school. He was quite impressive, already showing the qualities of leadership and thoughtfulness that he so strongly possesses today. We reconnected when he returned to raise his family in Concord.
I am impressed by Andrew’s education and experience in engineering, mathematics, and business. This expertise will serve us well as our Schools continue to emphasize and expand STEAM education for our children’s future. Perhaps more importantly, Andrew will bring a strong financial perspective to the School Committee’s complex budgeting processes, ensuring continued support of our school programs, staff, and facilities while also considering the impact on taxpayers in Town.
Andrew has a wonderfully positive, engaging, and inviting personality. He brings to every discussion a new perspective with balanced insights, while at the same time is always interested in other’s ideas. He is a gifted listener. Andrew is also a natural leader who steps up to serve and contribute when he sees a need. He is deeply committed to our town and to ensuring that our Schools provide the best educational experience possible.
Andrew will be an amazing asset to the School Committee: a sound and steady voice in support of our town’s children, families, and educators. Do not pass up this wonderful opportunity to have him serve in this important capacity. Please join me and my husband Scott in voting for Andrew Herchek on April 9.
