Last weekend, the banner that was proudly displayed in front of Kerem Shalom was unlawfully removed. It said, “We Stand Against Hate” and had a picture of a Jewish Star and our logo.
This act may seem inconsequential, but we think it is important to call it out and name it. It’s easy to respond to overt acts of hate and even easier to dismiss the furtive ones. This was an act of antisemitism — and no act of hate should be minimized or dismissed.
Words matter, actions matter, and silence is deafening.
