Pauline M. (Alessi) Contino, 87, of Maynard, passed away at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln on Monday, July 8, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Joseph Contino.
Born in Concord on June 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Victoria (Mangano) Alessi.
She graduated from Concord High School. After high school, she went to work for the Town of Concord Public Works Department as a payroll specialist. Pauline took pride in her work and job and retired from CPW after 39 years.
Pauline was a woman of strong Catholic faith and was a member of St. Bridget’s Church in Maynard. She lived her life through prayer. She attended weekly Mass and liked to visit various churches and view daily Mass on Catholic TV.
Pauline loved life’s simple pleasures, such as spending time at home with her husband, trips to the mall, and taking road trips and vacations. She always enjoyed every holiday and special occasions for each member of her family.
She was predeceased by sisters Tina Salamone of Maynard and Mamie Sulfaro of Concord. In addition to her husband, she is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation on Monday, July 15, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church at Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
