I would like to express my appreciation to the volunteers, hosts, and musicians who worked tirelessly to make West Concord Porchfest possible. It was so much fun connecting with neighbors while listening to the talented artists. I was especially delighted to hear high school-aged bands in addition to a number of local musicians, many of whom live within the Porchfest footprint.
Equally impressive was the organization of the festival. Bands were placed close enough to allow spectators to stroll from end to end, but not so close as to drown one another out. Printed and digital maps made it simple to navigate the event, find restrooms, and locate local dining options, and volunteers were available to assist with the flow and answer questions.
Events like Porchfest play a crucial role in fostering a sense of community and belonging. In addition to those mentioned above, a special thank you to Jennifer Montbach and Jen Hurley-Wales for their creativity and dedication, and the countless hours they put in to make West Concord Porchfest a resounding success.
