Mara Dolan is the change we need on the Governor’s Council. She combines a fierce progressive spirit, personal integrity, and a dedication to fact-based decisions that is so much more qualifying than her opponent.
I’ve known Mara Dolan for 28 years, since we were both parents of young children in Concord. In that time I’ve seen Mara put herself through law school and carry on a noble, outstanding 17-year career as a public defender.
Twelve percent of Concord’s Democratic Primary voters did not vote for a Governor’s Council candidate in 2022, perhaps because they don’t know the critical role the Council plays in our lives — affirming the choice of judges who wield enormous power over the lives of everyone in the justice system, including children and adolescents.
Sadly, I’ve also seen Dolan’s opponent mislead the public about her record, endorsements, and experience at public events. Voters deserve better.
I urge all Concord Democrats to register for the primary and vote for Mara Dolan, the clear change we need on the Governor’s Council.
