Sarah “Sally” G. Fish, 86

Sarah “Sally” G. Fish passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024, surrounded by the love of her three daughters. Born on February 7, 1938, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Sally was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert Lessey Fish, her father and mother Kenneth F. and Mary E. Graf, and her brother John A. Graf. She graduated from Abbott Academy in Andover in 1954 and from Hollins College in Virginia in 1958.

Sally was first and foremost devoted to her husband and family above all else. She married the love of her life, Robert Fish, on June 5, 1958, embarking on a lifetime of love and adventure together. Their marriage was a beautiful harmony of their individual strengths that together created a flourishing and strong family. Their love reveals itself in the strength and kindness of their three daughters: Elizabeth Kinzly (Randy), Suzanne Costa (Peter), and Caroline Wester (David); her grandchildren Alexandra (Daniel), Anna, Peter (Erin), Madeline (Eddie), Andrew (Colleen), and Abigail; and her six great-grandchildren.

Sally will also be remembered for her passion for the game of golf and the lifelong friendships she forged playing at Kingswood Golf Club in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club in Palm City, Florida, and at Concord Country Club in Concord. From her leadership with the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts to co-founding the Concord Country Club’s Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament, Sally’s love of the game will always be remembered through her coaching and kindness and her happiness being on the course with the people she loved. As an accomplished golfer, Sally was a multiple club and tournament champion and had 13 holes-in-one.She taught some of life’s greatest lessons to her children and grandchildren through the game of golf, emphasizing the importance of hard work and patience.

Sally’s legacy lives on proudly in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who reflect her love of family, her kindness and hospitality, her willingness to work hard at whatever she put her mind to, and her enduring optimism.
