Kimberly Hesse Lawler, age 62, formerly of Concord, passed away on October 13, 2024, at her home in Boston.
Kim attended the Concord Public Schools K-12, graduating from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1980. While in high school she competed on the cross country, basketball, and softball teams. She earned a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy from Springfield College in 1984. Kim was a college varsity athlete, competing on the softball team, and she continued playing recreational softball for a few years post-graduation. While in high school and college, she worked for the Concord Recreation Department’s summer camp program. Kim loved to cook and was previously employed as a caterer and sous chef at several locations, including Holy Cross University. She enjoyed spending time outside and liked to garden and landscape. She also loved a good beach day.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Patricia F. Hesse. She is survived by her brother, Mark Hesse and his wife, Alma, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her sister, Karyn Hesse Copland and her husband, Rick, of Concord; her nieces Kylie Copland and Gabriella and Hannah Hesse, and her nephew Thomas Copland.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
