The Concord Bridge presents ‘Building Our Community Newspaper Together’

November 12, 2024

In the spring of 2022, Concord was a news desert, isolating residents from one another as surely as the pandemic had.

Encouraged by a core group of devoted Concordians, residents gathered in a church basement to envision a local weekly newspaper that would reconnect citizens with each other.

Come hear Concord Bridge CEO Maile Hulihan tell the story of what happened next — and where your non-profit newspaper is going.

Join us for her remarks in the Goodwin Forum of the Concord Free Public Library — or via Zoom — at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, followed by a conversation moderated by Frannie Carr Toth, New York Times managing editor, audio. Introductions by Bridge editor Betsy Levinson.
