3 ways to license your dog, starting now

By Christine M. Quirk — Christine@concordbridge.org

Calling all dogs — and owners.

The town of Concord began licensing dogs for 2025 today. The fee is $15 for a spayed or neutered dog and $20 for an intact dog. Checks should be made to The Town of Concord.

Concord requires all dogs six months or older to be vaccinated against rabies and licensed where the dog lives. Include a rabies certificate with the application.

There are three ways to register your dog.

  • In person, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, at the Town House, 22 Monument Square.
  • Online at concordma.gov.
  • By mail: Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with two forever stamps for up to three licenses. Include your name, address, phone, email, and dog’s name, and mail to: Town Clerk’s office, Att’n: Dog License, 22 Monument Square, Concord, MA 01742.

Four or more dogs require a kennel license; contact the town clerk for fees and inspection requirements.

The deadline is March 31, 2025. A late fee applies on and after April 1, 2025.
