The Concord Fire Department extinguished a blaze at an Independence Road home Friday.
According to Chief Thomas Judge, CFD received a report of a fire at 115 Independence Road at 1:20 p.m. The occupant had already evacuated when firefighters arrived to find smoke throughout the house.
Firefighters found fire inside the wall of a second-floor bedroom, opened it, and put out the flames. The fire was declared under control at approximately 2 p.m.
No one was injured, and the cause of the fire remains under CFD investigation.
Members of the Bedford, Lexington, Lincoln and Weston Fire Departments headed to the scene to assist, along with PRO EMS, while the Acton and Maynard Fire Departments provided station coverage.
