When the Gatti family got to Italy without (gasp) a copy of The Concord Bridge in their bags, their creativity kicked in.
They rustled up a tiny image of the front page, printed it out, and brought it to Milan’s Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Here’s Nico, 9, proudly posing with his mini Bridge while cheering on his favorite team, Inter Milan, to a 4-0 victory.
The Willard third-grader’s family revved up the printer again the next day so Nico could bring a bigger facsimile of the hometown paper to the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, where his beloved Scuderia Ferrari won the Grand Prix.
