6:17 a.m. Eight callers reported hearing “numerous” gunshots from their homes on Temple, Strawberry Hill, and Barretts Mill Roads; Bradford, Main, Cottage, and Pine Streets; and Concord Greene. An officer who heard shots on Pine Street said the sound was coming from the land behind the MCI parking lot off Commonwealth Avenue. Another officer reported hearing shots coming from the land by Warner’s Pond. Police advised Environmental Police and later tracked down some hunters who they found were in compliance with all rules and regulations.

7:34 a.m. A former Concordian reported receiving “numerous threatening emails” from an unknown sender, including photos of her old street sign on MacArthur Road. Though she now lives out of state, the woman said the emails are continuous. Police are investigating.

7:55 a.m. Multiple 911 callers reported a two-car collision at Lowell Road and Liberty Street. Ambulances took two people to separate hospitals — with one person complaining of chest pains. Two other people declined treatment. Police diverted traffic and closed Lowell Road to traffic as emergency vehicles responded and tow trucks removed both cars. Police cited one driver for failure to use care when stopping.

5:01 p.m. A mother asked police to talk to her 6-year-old son about bicycle safety due to his refusal to wear a helmet while riding his bike. Police gave the youngster advice and a new helmet.

described as a white man, about 5-feet 8-inches tall, and wearing a baseball cap who possibly got into a green Chevy Prism and was no longer on the property. The academy’s athletic director provided additional information. Police recorded the incident and contacted Cambridge police to help track down the vehicle.
