The Concord-Carlisle golf team continued its perfect season with a 48-24 win over Billerica. Senior captain Will Spring, fresh off his victory as low medalist in the Cape Cod Invitational, again led the Patriots with an outstanding 3-under 33.

Sophomore Jake Erston, whose consistent iron play has made him a reliable force throughout the season, followed closely behind, carding a 2-under 34. The other Patriot to post a sub-40 round was junior Ahrinn Desai, who shot a respectable 38 while struggling to get off the tee most of the day. Coming in at 40 for their rounds were sophomores Joe Grasso and Glen Murdough.

The victory keeps the CC golfers unbeaten with a 7-0 record, solidifying their spot atop the Dual County League standings. The team now enjoys a comfortable stretch of home matches while hosting Newton South along with Bedford and Malden Catholic in a “Links for Cancer” match as part of “Kicks Week” in town.

The team’s latest performance has earned it a berth in the State Sectional Division 1 Central Tournament at Pleasant Valley Country Club on Tuesday, October 15.
