Several former Concord-Carlisle harriers competed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Cross Country championship held at Amherst College on October 28.
First-year Harrison Dow of Amherst, CCHS 2023, was honored as the NESCAC’s Men’s Rookie of the Year. Dow finished 14th overall in the men’s 8K race (25:47.4) and earned a spot on the All-NESCAC Second Team in his first conference championship meet. His finish helped Amherst earn NESCAC Runner-Up honors in the team competition.
Nora Johnson, a junior at Williams College, finished the women’s 6K race in 22:47 and in 12th place to earn second team All-NESCAC honors. Her finish helped Williams win the NESCAC championship.
Williams senior Chris Ratcliffe finished 22nd and helped Williams win the NESCAC championship.
Other former Concord-Carlisle runners competing for NESCAC colleges are Caroline Graziani and Lila Parker at Connecticut College, Abby Mueller at Bowdoin, Ray Pavlik and Charlie Kessler at Middlebury, Henry Reiche at Colby, Campbell McDonald at Bates and Jack Graziani at Hamilton.
Also competing at other schools are William Crounse at Colgate, Emma Kerimo and Will Chaffin at Dartmouth, Fiona Martinelli and Nico Martinelli at Denison, Audrey Carter at Haverford, Marko Kovacevic at Lynchburg State, Ashley Wieland at St. Lawrence University, Ethan Martel at St. Olaf, Iris Bergman at Yale and Ethan Jina at Babson.
